A very effective way of managing Driver Fatigue is to Plan Out Your Journey if you are travelling long distances. Items that you should take into account when planning out your journey include:

  • Route Planners as provided on this site are a very simple tool available for mapping out your journey, knowing the distance of travel, best way to get there, and ensure you have access to facilities such as toilets, food and beverages and parks for the kids to run around in;
  • Take a rest break every two hours; and
  • If you recognise any of the signs of fatigue, pull over to a safe place and rest before continuing your journey.
